Sharing Our Stories: Opening Our Hearts
A one-day workshop for personal growth and/or professional development
Saturday April 1, 2006 10:00 AM - 5:00PM
      Instructor: Sylvia Israel

We all have experienced the freedom of an open heart: compassion, empathy, wisdom and peace. An open heart is our natural state. However, we often find our hearts closed in fear, hurt, or anger and opening the heart may seem difficult, even impossible.

Through honoring and sharing our stories, we discover the intricacies of what supports or prevents us from opening our hearts. In the practice of non-judgmental acceptance of ourselves and others we find our authenticity, our connection to each other and to a universal life force. We will draw from spiritual traditions, psychodrama and expressive arts to find peace in ourselves, thus contributing to the creation of a more peaceful world.

Continuing Education: 6 CEUs for MFT, LCSW & RN. ($15 additional fee). Provider approved by CA Board of Registered Nurses #CEP 11733 & CA Board of Behavioral Science for MFT and LCSW, Provider #947. 6 training hours may also be applied towards National Association of Drama Therapy Registration, American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama Certification, MFT and LCSW licensure. NAADAC and Registry of Group Certification pending.
